From 9 to 20 November, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) will take place. As in previous years, part of the programme will be available online. However, this year not only via IDFA.nl, but also via several virtual screens of selected theatres. From 10 to 20 November, a title from the Best of the Fest of Masters programme can be seen online every day between 18:00 and 23:00.

LUX, Eye, Concordia, het Ketelhuis and LantarenVenster, under the banner of Het Nederlands Filmtheater Overleg (NFO), were provided with their own virtual screens this year with the implementation of the MediaContainer by Medialoc. This is the first time that part of the festival programme will be shown via these theatres’ own virtual screens. You can buy your ticket via the online box office of the various theatres, and the PDF ticket you receive will include the link to the online cinema.

IDFA has been the world’s largest documentary festival since 1988, offering lectures, workshops and more than 300 films that tell stories about life around the world. Each year, the festival transforms the centre of Amsterdam into a paradise for documentary lovers, with screenings taking place across the city and online. The films range from funny to sad and represent the best the genre has to offer.
